”Let’s start something. In light of being repetitively told that workers inthe creative arts industry need to retrain and get “real jobs” I say we pull the plug.Just initially for an hour. Pull the plug on it all. 
For all those people who laughed that I wanted to be an actor. Pull the plug.For those who called me names for wanting to be a performer and not being a “real man”.Pull the plug. For those who mock my friends and I for writing scripts and making short films.Pull the plug. Let’s see how these people who doubt the viability of our professioncan survive just an hour without us. Pull the plug on the whole creative industry.
No TV. No films. No radio. No access to literature, magazines, newspapers.No streaming services. No internet content. No music. No art to view.No advertising visible in any form. No audiobooks. No dance classes. No photographers,not even at your wedding. No web or app development. No podcasts.No computer games. No live entertainment on your holiday park. No comedians.No tech support for your presentations. You get the idea. No creative arts of any form.Just for an hour. At first. And then let’s check to see if what we do is a “real job”.Let’s see how happy people are without us.”
